Wednesday. Southampton all day. Got back and very exciting - Heroes has arrived. Now I can have a Heroes catch up weekend all of my own. Watched the three episodes tonight shown on the BBC. It is so good. Will have to let Mark catch up tomorrow.

Tuesday. I go ro Richmond today for work. This evening we take Adam to a Career's fair and find out all about College open evenings across Surrey fro September and October. Lots of decisons to be made abotu where Adamis going to go and what he is going to do. Have to say that I am surprised by Wokign College - it mught well be an OK option and even the right one for Adam. I l.ike that it is small and just a 6th Form College. It could suit him down to the ground really. There are plenty of others to look at too of course but it will be his decision at the end of the day.

Sunday. A day at the races. Richard and I go to Goodwood using my raffle prize win. We have carparking and entey to the Richmond Enclosure which was very lovely for the afternoon's racing. We bet on all the races during our stay but only manage to secure one winner - Watchful on her debut and no placings. Luckily we are only placing £2.50 each way bets so it's nto so bad. As the afternoon wears on it becomes colder and colder and I freeze in my Black and white spotty dress from Next. Feel quite chilled in the end and we don't even stay for the very last race but head back home and for the worst fish and chips ever from Seafayre in St John's. Never agai. Absolutley disgusting. The fish was horrible and the chips were ycuck as well. very disapppointign fo rnot much change from two tenners. Healthy food all the way now I think it had better be

Saturday. Very exciting we go and look at new cars for me. Am thinking of replacing my Polo - getting a new one - in cornflower blue. Am looking at the Polo S. Have booked a test drive fro next Saturday. Bought Richard his birthday present today - a digital SLR camera - a Canon. He is very pleased. You wouldn't hink there was a credit crunch at all would you?

Wednesday. The return to Redhil. A beautiful day to travel through the rolling Surrey hills. It was a beautiful morning. There is something quite stunning about the light on a clear and sunny September morning. Sadly there is still nothing stunning about Redhill itself. Same old. Same old. Even the Marks & Spencers there which is being refurbed looks like Littlewoods circa 1980. It's not getting any better.
