The 12 Icon Challenge (August 2016)
Posted by Richard on Tuesday 9th August 2016 at 12:09 AM

With the first appearance of the GPS Maze (a 'GPS Adventures Exhibit') in the UK, at the 2016 UK Mega, there was a rare opportunity to find 12 different cache types in one day. Admittedly, this would mean getting up to Kings Cross for an event at midnight, driving the 200 miles up to Llangollen the following morning, and the 200 miles back in the afternoon, but who doesn't like a challenge?!

In my defence, it wasn't my idea - I have Rob (2ndEast) to thank for that! Great day out though. So, 12 caches, 12 selfies! (For a few more photos of Llangollen, check out the next page).

Even the dragon thought we were mad!

Great day out though Richard. Tried to explain to my 86 year old Dad this evening what we were up to. He didn't really get it :)

Llangollen - more than just caches!

I really liked Llangollen - it had the feel of a seaside town, but without the sea. The lady who served us our ice creams assured us that today's weather was completely usual for Wales. Click here to view this Page
