Day 4: 13.6 miles. This was probably the most spectacular day of the holiday. Unfortunately, Katharine had picked up a bit of an injury and decided to take the day to recuperate. The rest of us headed south out of Prades and soon found ourselves in the valley of the Siurana river. Swimming in the rock pools was very refreshing. Unfortunately, there is no photographic evidence of our wet t-shirt competition.
After lunch we climbed a spectacular cliff path, up a seemingly vertical slope, to the village of Siurana. (This was the last of the Moorish enclaves in Catalonia to fall to the Christians, in the 12th century - it's not difficult to see why). Never has a beer tasted so good!
From Siurana we headed down to the lake, where we met up with Katharine. She then guided us back to Cornudella de Montsant, and the Fonda El Reco apartments.
