Peak District (March 2014)
Posted by Richard on Thursday 7th August 2014 at 11:47 AM
We headed into the Peak District for Jeff's 50th Birthday in Totley near Sheffield. The party was great, but unfortunately the photos I took on my iPhone were just too awful to share.
(Sorry Jeff).
Pembrokeshire (July 2011)

Somehow I managed to persuade Mark to come camping with me this summer. I decided on
Pembrokeshire and I maintain this had nothing to do with the fact that the annual Geocaching Mega-event was being held in Swansea at the same time.
Peak District (July 2009)

Our annual boys-only camping trips came to a shuddering halt in 2005. With Adam in France this summer, I had to draft in some new recruits to help restart the programme. Adrian and James were at the top of the list, but the invitation was extended to a number of other Exeter University alumni ... who came up with some pretty flimsy excuses to decline!
Dorset (August 2005)

Our second camping break this summer was a more traditional, boys-only trip to Osmington, near Weymouth in Dorset. The campsite at
Eweleaze Farm may have been a little basic, but campfires were allowed and the location was excellent!
Cornwall (August 2005)

After five years of boys-only camping, we eventually persuaded Laura to come along as camp-cook on our trip to Cornwall! The trade-off was that we all had to go to the big garden centre near St. Austell!
Snowdonia (July 2004)

This year's annual camping trip took us away from our usual coastal locations and into the Welsh mountains of the
Snowdonia National Park. We also had a new member in our expeditionary force, Raf 'le Francais'.

To celebrate our 40th birthdays, the Judd School Old Boys Class of '82 (well ... Peter, Trevor, Steve, Jeff and Richard), plus families, hit the
Peak District for an action-packed week! Read on ...
Croyde (August 2003)

Two years on, and the boys were back in town:
Croyde and the campsite at
Bay View Farm. Despite fantastic weather in 2001 the sea had still been sub-zero, so this time round, with temperatures much cooler, we hired wetsuits from the

Isle of Wight (July 2002)

This year's venue for the 'Three Men in a Tent, South Coast Tour' was the Isle of Wight. Unbelievably, for the third year running, we didn't get rained on!
Croyde (July 2001)

This summer's traditional all-boys camping trip took us to
Croyde in North Devon for a few days at
Bay View Farm. We were away for two of the hottest days of the summer, and I came back with white handprints on a very red back - I guess that's what you should expect when you trust a 6 year old with sunblock!
Scottish Highlands (May 2001)

This was a whistlestop tour of the Highlands to meet up with old friends (and to make some new ones). Mairi and Derek live in Culbokie by Dingwall on the Black Isle, a few miles north of Inverness. Their view over the Cromarty Firth towards Ben Wyvis is stunning. So like the view from our own kitchen window .
Isle of Purbeck (August 2000)

Three men in a tent for a short break on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset; a guy thing - eating beans around the camp fire and re-enacting scenes from "Blazing Saddles"!
