Making the most of that rarest of occasions, a sunny August Bank Holiday, Laura and I headed for the North Downs.
We parked in the White Downs car park above Abinger and walked through Old Simm's Copse to Blatchford Down - an area of the Downs under the stewardship of The National Trust.
Some wonderful ancient trees in the woodland and fields of butterflies on the open Downs.
